Taking a look at MI's win so far, they had won their first title in 2013, then it was followed by them emerging victorious in 2015, 2017 and 2019; all under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. After looking at the odd numbers, fans felt that Mumbai will not be able to defend their title in 2020. However, MI’s team defied the odds and broke the record.

Coming back to Rohit Sharma's tweet, the commercial shared by him was launched ahead of the IPL 2020. In the ad, Rohit is seen interacting with his uncle who is suggesting him to change odd-numbered things around him. To which, Rohit replied that this is an odd season only as it is the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is an odd number.

So after sharing the old commercial, Rohit Sharma, wrote, “We indeed went even this season. Bola tha aapko mamu inki ganit weak hai”.
