“IT’S A GIANT MIND F**K - NEPOTISM IS EVERYWHERE..” - LEKHA WASHINGTON’S LATEST BREAKING STATEMENT

In an exclusive E-Interview with Behindwoods, she opened about her acting career and  revealed some interesting incidents way back from her college days.

Speaking about her College days in Chennai, she said “I once stole a painting from my college. It was not actually a theft, but I actually sneaked inside, took out the painting, took a few photographs, and then put back the painting. It is a partial theft, but I am guilty of it.”

She also recollected how she went to her college as a chief guest, breaking the rules. “It is a strict rule in my college, to not wear sleeveless tops. When I went there as a chief guest for some event, I wantedly wore a sleeveless top and nobody questioned me anything,” laughed Lekha.

Opening about her experience on working with director duo Pushkar and Gayathri, she said “They are amazing people. Pushkar has a clear vision and Gayathri complements him so well. They are very clear with their visionary and I’d do anything in the movie, if they ask me to.”

When talking about Nepotism, one of the most discussed topics nowadays, Lekha said “Nepotism is everywhere. You know it and I know it. It’s out there in every other industry. When a son or a daughter inherits their parents’ business, it’s no big deal. But when it happens in this industry, it is made into a big deal.”

“The industry is a giant Mind F**k. Sorry for the language, but it is. It is something that really plays with your head, for everyone in the industry. One needs to be really mindful of taking care of your body, mind and soul. As an individual, that is my primary responsibility. I have huge respect for everyone in the industry. It is a hard industry and I have huge respect for all the actors who’ve made it and for the ones who haven’t yet,” signs off Lekha.
