The director’s hat is donned by Papanasam fame director Jeethu Joseph, whereas ‘Thambi’ is bankrolled by jointly by Viacom18 Studios and Suraj Sadanah. The cast ensemble includes Sathyaraj, Nikhila Vimal, Sowcar Janaki, Anson Paul etc.

The scripting of the movie is done by Rensil D’Silva and Manikandan. The film has music by Govind Vasantha and RD Rajasekar has handled the camera. The movie is slated for release by the December of this year.

Now, the trailer of the movie has been released. Jyothika is seen anxious and worried about her younger brother Saravanan, who had left home 15 years ago, and she is seen sharing this sorrow with her father Sathyaraj. Actress Seetha plays the role of Jyothika's mother. At this point, Karthi shows up and identifies himself to be Saravanan which, according to his own statement, is false. Everyone believes him to Saravanan but Jyothika remains skeptical about him. Dangers befall Saravanan, and he understands that someone wants him dead. How Karthi's character grows to be protective and loving of the family he duped is expected to form the rest of the story. Catch the trailer here!
