‘ARIVUM, ANBUM’ - THE ANBE SIVAM CONNECT! KAMAL REVEALS!

In his first ever zoom interview during the lockdown, Kamal shared some interesting information about the song ‘Arivum Anbum’, and the story behind it. He said “First of all, I would like to thank everyone involved in the song. I was not able to personally call everyone and ask them. My secretary called a few people and they were happy to be a part of it. Everyone did an amazing job.”

“It did not even take me 5 minutes to get everyone on board. All of them agreed instantly. All our interactions happened over a call. Right from the music to the tune, we discussed everything over call.”

Talking about the song, Kamal said “First I had written a song and asked Ghibran to compose music for it. Then, I told him, let’s do it the other way. You know my thought process, so you compose a song, I will then write lyrics for it. That’s how we did it.”

When asked about the title and the selflessness it denotes, just like his ‘Anbe Sivam’ movie did, Kamal replied “When a disease like Covid comes, all of us stars are nothing. We are small and insignificant. The same way, I am insignificant in front of the larger society. That is why I became a politician in the first place. I want to do something for them, apart from rightfully paying my taxes to the government."
