One of the greatest epics of Indian mythology, Mahabharata, has been an inspiration for many celluloid adaptations, and the latest film in the line is big-budgeted Kannada film 'Kurukshetra', inspired by the Kurukshetra battle that unfolds in the epic.

Kalaippuli S. Thanu will be releasing period film Kurukshetra starring Ambarish, Arjun and Sneha

Created with state of the art 3D technology, Kurukshetra is bankrolled by Vrushabhadri Productions and presented by Kalaippuli S. Thanu under the banner V Creations. The film is set to release in five languages, namely Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Directed by Naganna, Kurukshetra revolves around the battle between Pandavas and Kauravas. The film stars Late. Ambarish as  Bheeshma, Dharshan as Duryodhana,  'Action King' Arjun as Karna, Ravi Shankar as Saguni, Rockline Venkatesh as Shalya and Sneha as Draupati respectively.

On the technical front, Kurukshetra is shot by Jay Vincent and edited by Jo Ni Harsha respectively. The film is written by J.K. Bharavi and produced by Munirathna. Kurukshetra is slated to hit the screens on August 2019.
