Both the movies have been widely received by the audience. Kaappaan, a movie based upon Special Protection group officers (SPG), is directed by KV Anand and produced by Lyca Productions. Harris Jayaraj has handled the music of the movie.

Oththa Seruppu movie is written, directed and acted by Parthiban, and produced by the actor under his banner Bioscope Film Framers. The movie is a solo act film, and is the first of its kind in Tamil Cinema.
