Actor Jiiva who had a box office hit in 2018 through Kalakalappu 2 will next be seen in films like Kee, Gorilla and Gypsy and all the three films have shown a good promise through its teasers and trailers. Apart from all these projects, he is also part of an untitled multistarrer with Arulnithi, that is produced by Super Good Films.
The young actor will now be making his Hindi debut, alongside Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, in his biopic film of Indian cricketer Kapil Dev. Titled as '83',this film will be hitting the screens on April 10, 2020.
Talking about his Hindi debut, actor Jiiva says, "It will be an exciting multistarrer film. I am acting with Ranveer Singh and it will be a big film made on a budget of over Rs 100 crores. I am a great follower of cricket and I have played a lot of games. In that way, playing a cricketer's role in my debut Hindi film excites me. The shooting has been planned for close to 100 days in London and we will start shooting from this year May.
I will be playing the role of Krishnamachari Srikanth sir and it is definitely a proud moment for me to get that character. I have a strong feeling that 2019 will be a great year, not only for me, but also for Tamil cinema."
