Jeyikkira Kudhira gets A certificate

Jeyikkira Kudhira is an upcoming romantic comedy Tamil film written and directed by Sakthi Chidambaram. It features Jeevan, Dimple Chopade and Sakshi Agarwal in the lead roles. The film also features quite a number comedy stars like Robo Shankar and Yogi Babu.

This project has been in the making for a long time now and finally the movie was censored recently with 'A' certificate. The trailer of Jeyikkira Kudhira had some intimate scenes, and we presume the 'A' certificate was for strong glamour content. Some of the notable films that had 'A' certificates were Taramani and Hara Hara Mahadevaki.

Jeevan of Kaakka Kaakka fame talks about his next film Athibar

The menacing Pandiya of Kaakka Kaakka or the innocent but sharp looking Joseph Fernandez in Naan Avan Illai is difficult to forget. Jeevan, who essayed such different roles will be seen in Athibar directed by Surya Prakash and the film is hitting the screens this Friday, the 28th August. Ahead of the release of Athibar, Jeevan talks about his film.

What is Athibar all about?

“Athibar actually indicates ‘thozhilathibar’ or the industrialist. It is about a man who rises to the top just by his hard work but loses his entire domain due to an act of breach of trust by someone who he trusted. In life there could be people who may not have fallen in love but there would not be anyone who had not faced failure in some form or the other. Athibar’s crux is that failure which is not because of the protagonist’s doing but because of someone he trusted so dearly. It is based on a true incident and is not a fictional account.”

In most of your films, you have done the roles with negative shades. How do you think people will accept you in a different role now?

“But for Kaakka Kaakka, my character in my films, be it Naan Avan Illai or Thiruttu Payalae or Machakaran, was not completely dark. I accepted Athibar as it is a different role and a script that I have not done so far. The interesting factor was that it is from a real incident. And I believe that perspective will make the audience look at me in a different dimension and accept me”.

Jeevan will also be seen in Jaikira Kudhirai and is in the signing stage of a couple of other projects.
