Comali was directed by Pradeep Ranganathan and produced by Vels International. The main cast of the movie included Jayam Ravi along with Kajal Aggarwal, Samyuktha Hegde, Yogi Babu, K S Ravikumar etc. The music of the movie is composed by Hiphop Tamizha.

Now according to sources, there are information that the official remake rights of the movie are bought by Boney Kapoor. Also, Jayam Ravi's character is to be reprised by Arjun Kapoor, Boney Kapoor's son.

Boney Kapoor had recently remade Bollywood superhit 'Pink' in Tamil as 'Nerkonda Paarvai' with Ajith reprising Amitabh Bachchan's role. Arjun Kapoor was last seen in action thriller movie 'India's Most Wanted'.
