A MUCH LOVED ARTIST TO MAKE A COMEBACK

We had reported some time ago that veteran actor Charu Hasan will be playing an aging gangster in a film being directed by Vijay Sri G. This film is yet to be titled and is being produced by music composer Prakash Nikki who is also the music director of the film. The latest news is that veteran actor Janakaraj has been brought on board this film.

Sharing his excitement on getting the talented actor for his film, Vijay says, “I am very happy that Janakaraj sir is playing a key role in my film. I was keen to have him in my venture but people said he was in the US. But later I found him in Chennai. Initially, he was hesitant to accept any film. But I was perseverant and told him that if he likes my script, he can accept the project. Fortunately, he agreed and we are all delighted. It is nine years since he acted.   

‘No makeup, no drug’ is the theme of my film. Janakaraj sir plays a retired military man in it and is heroine’s dad. We will have his trademark humor plus a very meaty portion. That’s the reason he agreed for a comeback.

There are no fan clubs for him but there are so many out there who love his work. He has worked with Rajini and Kamal in so many films.

We shot his scene last week and it was overwhelming to see the response and the crowd that has gathered to see him. It was his combination scene with Charu Hasan. We will be shooting again in this week”.
