MOVIE BUFFS GRAND ALERT: GOVERNMENT TO OPEN THEATRES SOON ON THIS DATE?

Lockdown has restricted many activities we do in our normal life. Restaurants, gyms, theatres, even stepping out to office has been restricted and we are finding alternatives to most outdoor activities in order to safeguard ourselves from exposure to this virus.

India is on it's way to Unlock - to clear lockdown phase by phase. Unlock 3.0 is what's approaching, and here we have a happy news especially for movie buffs. According to latest reports, The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has recommended to the Union Home Ministry that cinema halls all over the country be allowed to reopen in August.

According to the media, Khare is touted to have said that his ministry's recommendation takes into consideration regarding the two metre social distancing norm, but tweaks it gently to two yards instead. The Home Ministry, however, still has to revert on the recommendation. No official confirmation on the news is available yet.
