CONTROVERSY: POLICE CASE FILED AGAINST ‘GODMAN’ WEB SERIES – COURT’S DECISION MAKES HEADLINES!

The makers of the series have been accused of allegedly hurting religious sentiments of the Brahmin community.

In response to the police case filed against the makers of the series, director G. Babu Yogeswaran and producer R. Elango had filed petitions to the Chennai district court for anticipatory bail, which has been granted on the Tuesday, the 9th of June.

The director and producer have also appealed that the entire ‘Godman’ web series did not target any particular religion, faith, community or practice, rather it was about anti-social activities of the self-styled persons misleading the public, as a mere expression of thought.

‘Godman’ stars Daniel Balaji, Sonia Agarwal and Jayaprakash in important roles and was slated for release on June 12 on a popular web series platform.
