After playing a crucial role in SK's Namma Veetu Pillai, legendary director Barathiraja sported the director's hat with 'Meendum Oru Mariyathai'. The film released on 21st February.

Bharathiraja himself, Joe Mallori, Mounika and Nakshatra played the lead roles in the film whicch featured music by N.R.Raghunanthan. Manoj Creations banner had bankrolled the film.

Actress Nakshathra tied the knots with S. Sathyanandan on on 26 February. Apart from Bharathiraja, director Bhagyaraj, Seeman and Ameer, Music Composer N.R. Ragunanthan,Cinematographers Salai Sahadevan and others graced the event to bless the newlyweds.
