Director Suseenthiran's regret over his film not getting the state film award

The Tamil Nadu State Film Awards from 2009 to 2014 were announced yesterday.

 

Director Suseenthiran who won the National Award for his film Azhagar Samiyin Kuthirai for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment in 2012, had taken to Twitter to express his anguish about his film not being awarded at the state level.

 

He says, “My heartfelt thanks to Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi Palanisamy for announcing the long pending state film awards. I also express my regret to the jury, which has not selected my film for the award, especially my National Award Winning Film Azhagar Saamiyin Kuthirai and also the much appreciated Anal Arasu’s climax stunt sequence of Naan Mahaan Alla. I am surprised by this. My congratulations to all my award winning friends.”
