Produced under the banner E4 Entertainment, this remake of the Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy is directed by Gireesaaya, the assistant of the original's director. Banitha Sandhu is the female lead and Adithya Varma has Priya Anand in a supporting role. The music of the film is composed by Radhan.

It is a known fact that the film Adithya Varma had great expectations before it's release, partially due to the hype of seeing Arjun Reddy's take in Tamil, but to witness the on-screen performance of Dhruv Vikram in his debut.

Despite being rated as 'Adult' by the Censor Board and the debut film of Dhruv, the film has collected around 1.03 crores in the first three days of its release at the Chennai City.
