Actor Dhanush has signed up for his maiden international venture, directed by Canadian filmmaker Ken Scott. This French-English film, titled 'The extraordinary journey of the Fakir' also stars Bérénice Bejo, Erin Moriarty and 'Captain Philips' fame actor Barkhad Abdi in crucial roles.
The makers have now announced the title of the film's Tamil version. The film is titled 'Pakiri' in Tamil and will feature music by Bollywood hitmaker Amit Trivedi, in association with French composer Nicolas Errèra. Cinematographer Vincent Mathias will be cranking the camera for the film.
The film is all set for a worldwide release on 21st June. 'The Extraordinary Journey of a Fakir' was screened in various film festivals, including the prestigious Cannes Film festival and the Barcelona Sant-Jordi International Film Festival, where it had won the 'Best Comedy film' Award.
