HERE IS A MAJOR UPDATE ON DHANUSH'S 'KARNAN' RELEASE - FANS EXCITED

Mari Selvaraj shot most of the film in a village-like set near Tirunelveli. The crew said that the shooting of the film was completed on December 9 last year. The crew has announced that the film will release in theaters in April; however, no specific date has been announced as yet. The video of this announcement has been well received by the fans as a special teaser has been attached with it.

Mari Selvaraj's previous film 'Pariyerum Perumal' was well received by the fans as it spoke about caste inequalities. Following Karnan, Dhanush, who has completed his Bollywood film with Akshay Kumar, Atrangi Re, has been focusing on his other films including Karthik Naren's D43 and Selvaraghavan's 'Nane Varuven'. Dhanush's 'Jagame Thanthiram' directed by Karthik Subburaj is also awaiting release.

‘Jagame Thanthiram’, which was announced to hit the screens on May 1, 2020, was postponed due to the coronavirus threat. Meanwhile, there are occasional reports that the film may release on OTT. However, the film crew has not yet made an official announcement.
