Many have been penning heartwarming posts for their fathers - the ones who have helped them shape their lives and have also raised them to be the successful person they are today.
On this special day, many Kollywood and Bollywood celebrities also took to Twitter to wish their fathers, remember them, and share sweet and heartfelt memories that they had with them.
Actor Dhanush shared a picture with his sons on Instagram and wrote a lovely note for them. "Happy Father's day. A child's first hero!! I know mine was one for me. Love you buddies. You guys mean the world to me," he said. The trio seem to be enjoying a calm evening at the sea in the picture.
And just when you thought things can't get any cuter, Dulquer Salmaan shared an unseen picture of his father and Mollywood Superstar Mammootty styling Dulquer's daughter Maryam's hair. The adorable picture won the hearts of celebrities as well as fans who thronged the comments section with several heart emojis. Actress Nazriya Nazim, Actors Soubin Shahir, Kunchako Boban and many others commented 'heart-eyes' emojis.
Music Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has always surprised fans with his songs. But did you know that he's a super softy at heart? Yep, the composer shared a special post for his daughter Ziva on father's day and it's all full of love. "Meet my little photographer," he said and shared a small video of his daughter taking pictures of him.
Genelia D'Souza took to Instagram to wish her husband Riteish Deshmukh on this day and thanked him for "being the best dad in the world". Her sons Riaan and Rahyl were seen standing with their father and posing in front of the camera for a photoshoot. She also posted a separate video for her "pops" and expressed her love for him.
