According to reports, Actress Yashika, who got involved in a car accident this morning, has apparently broken her hip and right leg and is being treated at a private hospital in Chennai. She had other two other passengers with her, who are said to be out of danger.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that Yashika was driving when the accident occurred, and apparently a case has been filed in three sections against the actress, including section 304 A of 'IPC (causing death by negligence).

The accident is said to have happened around 11:30pm near Sulerikadu on ECR as they were returning from Mamallapuram to Chennai. While Yashika's friend Valli Chetty Bhavani was dead on the spot, the other three were taken to a private hospital.

The deceased, Valli Chetty Bhavani (28) from Hyderabad, is believed to be a software engineer who returned from the United States a week ago. Police said she came to Chennai two days ago to meet friends. The body of deceased was taken to Chengalpattu Govt hospital for postmortem.

Mamallapuram police have registered a case and Yashika and other two are being questioned by the investigating team to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
