Yes. Actress Deepshika has been acting in almost half a dozen films in the last one year, three in Tamil and three in Telugu, shattering the argument that it is rare for women from Tamil Nadu to enter the film industry and that even if they do, they are not welcomed in their own state. 

Following her debut, Deepshika will co-star with Vikram Prabhu in a film to be produced by Potential, one of the leading companies in Tamil cinema, which has produced films including Maya and Managaram. Her character in the film is touted to be intertwined with a lot of suspenses and twists.

While acting in Tamil, Deepshika was signed to play the lead role in a new film to be produced by a popular Telugu production house. Apart from this, she has finished acting in a film with Telugu hero Naveen Chandra. She also has another Telugu film in her kitty.

It was while starring in films that I got the opportunity to act in the album 'Naatpadhu Theral', the dream epic of the Kaviperasu. Leading directors are directing each of the songs featured on his upcoming album, with over a hundred songs as a new venture in literature.

Deepshika has acted as a dance teacher in the song 'Keshathipadam' which will be featured in this album. Vairamuthu has written this song & it is directed by Bharathan, the director of Vijay starrer Bhairava.
