His final rites were performed by his family members on the 15th of this month in Mumbai. A Bollywood Paparazzi account on Instagram posted a video of Sushant’s body being taken from the hospital to the crematorium. The post was captioned saying “Please note my images and videos cannot be posted on any platforms without my written consent.”
However, he faced backlash from netizens. Actress Deepika Padukone lashed out at the account. Her comment read “Right. But it is OK for you to take this video and not only post it but also probably monetise it without his or his family’s written consent?”
On 14th, Deepika took to Instagram to share an emotional note to her followers who are suffering from depression. She also requested the media to maintain sensitivity while reporting a suicide.
