CHINMAYI SINGS VAIRAMUTHU PENNED SONGS AT CONCERT!

In the storm of allegations against sexual abusers under the hashtag 'MeToo', singer Chinmayi and a lot other victims had alleged that lyricist Vairamuthu had harassed them.

A lot of netizens had asked if Chinmayi will sing songs penned by Vairamuthu hereafter, and she replied that she will, because some of the songs display her singing prowess and the composer's brilliant work. She had tweeted that:

"I *will* sing the songs that I have sung in his lyrics so far.
Dheivam Thanda Poove, Sara Sara, Mayya are some of my finest songs that display MY singing prowess in some composer’s fantastic work.
Anyway I am sure *HE* will make sure I dont sing anymore."

True to her words, while singing at a concert yesterday, she sang a lot of songs that were written by Vairamuthu, including Kannathil Mutthamittal. She has indeed proven that she is not the one who says something and does another.

Vairamuthu had posted a video refuting all these allegations, while Chinmayi replied saying he has to take a lie detector test.
