Arun and Aravind are popular casting directors in the Tamil Film industry, and have worked for various reality shows and feature films. The two were also seen playing crucial roles in Nayanthara's Airaa, directed by KM Sarjun, and produced by KJR Studios.
In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, the duo gave an outline about the role of a casting director in a film. "The job of a writer is to create characters and write scenes like "a man comes to Chennai for an interview"... and as casting directors, we've to decide which face suits the man and who would be the perfect fit.
So we offer a lot of options and the director chooses the person. Right now, we have 727 models, who are in the top tier, waiting to become a heroine. And the next category has more than 10,000. In fact, only 10,000 know Arun and Aravind. There are more people outside," quipped Aravind and Arun.
They then played a game called speedometer, with our VJ Niki. While dodging one of the questions, one of the twins said he went to honeymoon with his wife the previous week, for which the other twin added that he also went with them.
