Kaala was directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Dhanush under the banner of Wunderbar Films. The movie featured Rajinikanth, Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani, Easwari Rao, and Huma Qureshi in crucial roles. The music composer of Kaala was Santosh Narayanan.
