Many volunteers, celebrities and commoners stepped up to do the needful to people suffering in low-lying areas, submerged in hip-deep water. Thousands of people came forward to the rescue of poor who were deprived of basic necessities including food, water, clothes and shelter. One of them who jumped into action to help the lives of distressed was Actress Maria Juliana.

The Model-cum-Bigg Boss Tamil fame star was seen operating a cart in hip-deep water with the help of a few people and distributing relief materials to the public. Sharing two videos on her Instagram page where she was seen helping people in Choolaimedu and Kolathur, Julie urged everyone to help those in need.

Maria Juliana was one of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 1's most famous contestants. A nurse by profession, she was widely popular for her role in participating in the Jallikattu protest. Following her brief stint in the reality show, she had signed up with a few films. She was also seen in a brief role in Vemal’s Mannar Vagaiyara, directed by Boopathy Pandian. She had also participated in the dance reality show BB Jodigal.
