Abhinay got married to fashion designer Aparna in 2007. The couple has a daughter named Swastika. Abhinay’s fondness for Pavani, his fellow housemate in BB5 was interpreted as a blooming romance by the contestants even as both of them have denied that they were anything but friends.
Abhinay's wife Aparna too had posted, "At the end of the day I know what kind of person you are. No one knows and understands you like I do. Love you Always. Always Team Abhinay. - Aparna Abhinay" (sic). Meanwhile, the actor has decided to interact with his fans as well.
One of the users asked, “Have you divorced your wife?” to which he replied, “Firstly I was shocked to see all that news in the media. Was very disappointed to see this kinda false news being circulated by some irresponsible people. Aparna and me are happily married.”
