The first promo of Bigg Boss airing on 31st August began with a performance from the artists in the outside set of the show. The promo also showed Kamal Haasan's attempt to join the Villupaattu performance.

In the promo, the actor raised concerns saying that the show's contestants must remember that this is a competition too and that today is the time to make them realize this. He had also mentioned that the previous episodes were an attempt to showcase the fading art forms of Tamil culture.
