BIG BREAKING: TOP ACTRESS JOINS MANI RATNAM'S PONNIYIN SELVAN SHOOT! - FULL DEETS!

The film is written, directed and co-produced by Mani Ratnam, under his production studio Madras Talkies, along with Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions.
Two posters of the upcoming period drama have been released and it has only upped the anticipation for the movie. The recently released poster has heavy usage of gold fonts. Sharing the latest poster, Lyca Productions wrote: “The golden era comes to life!” The film is set to release in two parts in 2022.

Talented artists that include Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Lal, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Riyaz Khan are amongst the many well-known artists who are part of the crew.
While many actors have travelled to Pondicherry for the shoot of 'Ponniyin Selvan', the latest to join the crew is Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has earlier worked with Mani Ratnam in the 2007 film Guru and the 2010 film Raavan. It was during the 1997 film 'Iruvar' that she made her debut in the Kollywood industry which was also directed by the ace-director.
