In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, actor Arvind Swami opened up about the great films in his career, the dynamics of being an actor, his upcoming film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and more.

Speaking of his role in the Mani Ratnam multistarrer that we are all eagerly awaiting, he said, "My character in the film is intense. In fact, all the characters are intense.

The photos (of the film that have come out) are in black and white because Santosh (Sivan) knows that you can find out a lot if they're in colour (laughs)."

When asked if his character will have negative shades, he deftly weaved an answer that the film will have to be watched for the same to be found out.

Mani Ratnam head to Abu Dhabi for the shoot of Chekka Chivantha Vaanam

Mani Ratnam is one director who generally prefers shooting his film in India unless until it is absolutely necessary for the script to shoot elsewhere. He had gone to Sri Lanka for Kannathil Muthamittal and for his film Guru, he had to shoot a few portions in Istanbul. And very recently for Kaatru Veliyidai, he had gone to Serbia to shoot a few scenes.

Now the latest we hear is that Mani Ratnam's next film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam will apparently be shot in Abu Dhabi. The CCV crew members are already in Abu Dhabi to set things right before the actors join them for the shoot. It is expected to be a one-week long schedule and actors like Arun Vijay are likely to take part in it.
