At a time when COVID-19 cases are rising by the day and many are dying due to the disease, it is important that everyone gets vaccinated to save themselves from the infection. Many celebrities and fans have taken to social media in the past to show pictures of them getting vaccinated and urged others to get it too.

Musician AR Rahman took to social media to share the news of him getting vaccinated along with his son AR Ameen. On his Instagram page, he wrote, "Vaccinated. First jab done. Covishield. Have you?"

Many musicians and fans replied to his post saying that they have been vaccinated too. A few others were intrigued by the facemask designs that they asked him as to where he purchased it.

The Academy award-winning Music Composer had recently released his movie '99 songs' which stars debutant actors Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas, along with Lisay ray and Manisha Koirala. Apart from writing and producing 99 Songs, AR Rahman was also on board as the music composer for the venture. The film is now out on Netflix and Jio Cinema.
