Hardly weeks after Actor Vijay's petition seeking entry tax exemption for his Rolls-Royce car that he imported from England created quite a stir in Tamil Nadu, another similar petition filed by Actor Dhanush in 2015, got listed before the court.

Dhanush’s case got listed before the court on Tuesday (August 3). When the case was called, no one appeared before the court to represent the actor. However, the judge went through the case files and directed the concerned officer to list the case along with a similar petition filed by Billroth Hospitals for passing orders on Thursday (August 5)

Actor Dhanush was asked to pay Rs 60.66 lakhs as entry tax by the commercial tax department for his imported luxury car which he bought in 2015 in order to issue the non-objection certificate.

The court directed the RTO to register the actor's car on the condition that he should deposit half the tax money within two weeks. The time limit was extended and he paid Rs 30.33 lakhs in November 2015. Since then, the case has been pending in the court. The verdict regarding the same is expected to be announced tomorrow (August 5).
