The entertainment industry is quite close to Sidharth Bharathan not just because he chose this industry for his career. His parents are established and revered celebrities in the industry - his father Bharathan is an Indian film maker, artist, and art director. On the other hand, his mother KPAC Lalitha is a veteran artist, who has worked in the Malayalam theatre and film industry for over five decades.
Sidharth began his career with the classic film Nammal in 2002. He made his directorial debut and played the lead role in Nidra (2012), it was a remake of the 1981 Malayalam film of the same name directed by his father. Sidharth has also worked as a scenarist for the film Isha, a segment in the anthology film 5 Sundarikal.
