The film is bankrolled by Kotapadi J. Rajesh under the banner KJR Studios. Hero also featured 'Action King' Arjun, Abhay Deol, and others in crucial roles and Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film.

The film deals will the flaws of Indian education system at the centre and the second deleted scene from the film was released recently. On the technical front, Hero is shot by George C. Williams while Ruben handles the editing department.

The much-awaited single of the film crooned by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja titled as Aayiram Mugangal is finally out. Penned by Pa. Vijay, the song is a special one indeed not only because of the father-son duo (Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan) but also for its hard-hitting lyrics. Check out here -
