HOLLYWOOD HAUNTS CHENNAI CITY BOX OFFICE!

According to Behindwoods analysis board, for the third straight week, we have Hollywood films topping the Chennai city box office (CBO) report. We had The Conjuring 2 ruling the CBO for 2 weekends while the Independence Day: Resurgence took charge from the 24th of June.

What does this pattern suggest? Does this signify the growing importance of Hollywood cinema in metros like Chennai or is it the lack of big Tamil film releases over past 3 weeks being the reason for this domination of Hollywood films? This is something that we will have to wait and see.

With The Legend of Tarzan releasing on the July 1st, we can expect the Hollywood dominant trend to continue at the Chennai city box office, in the coming weeks as well.
