Jigarthanda is popular director Karthik Subbaraj's second directorial that had Siddharth playing the lead role, while Bobby Simha played the antagonist. The latter won a national award for his performance in the film.
The film was bankrolled by S.Kathireshan under the banner Shri Meenakshi Creations & Group Company. It had cinematography by Gavemic U Ary, music by Santhosh Narayanan and editing by Vivek Harshan.
The audio label of the film, Think Music India, have released a new video to mark the 5th year anniversary of the cult film. The musical-gangster film is hailed by many as one of the best films in Tamil Cinema.
Karthik Subbaraj then went on to direct films like Iraivi, Mercury and :Petta. He will be next directing a film that will have Dhanush as the lead. Stay tuned for more updates, and catch the video below:
