TN BOX OFFICE: VEDALAM'S RECORD DAY 1 PERFORMANCE

As promised earlier, we are here to present to you the first day gross figure of Vedalam, which released yesterday, the 10th of November for Diwali. After speaking to many sources, we hear that the film has grossed in the range of 12 to 14 crores in Tamil Nadu. An exact figure isn't being pinned as yet but it is surely Ajith's highest till date.

 

This puts Vedalam at the very top among films such as Enthiran, Lingaa and Kaththi as the best ever openers in Tamil Nadu. With Superstar, Ilayathalapathy and now Thala, this is a well-represented list indeed.

 

We also hear that the film has got the tax exemption status in the state, but its still not officially confirmed. Stay tuned for more on Vedalam's box-office performance in the coming days.
