The uber-cool, stylish yet terrifying antagonists of Tamil cinema

It is important to have an invincible antagonist in a mass hero film. Only then, the battle between the hero-villain gets intense and gripping for the audience to get intrigued with.

Fortunately, of late we get to see some smart yet terrifying villains on screen. It all started with Yennai Arindhaal, where Arun Vijay played a stylish antagonist role against Ajith. He was lauded for his suave mannerisms, agility and intensity.

Then we had Rajamouli’s Baahubali, another film with ample scope for the villain to shine. In this case it was Rana Daggubati who had to be the badass. With one of the best muscular bodies in the business, he was too hot to handle.

Now it’s the turn of a yesteryear chocolate boy to play one of the best villain roles yet.  With some powerful dialogues, extremely stylish body language and a posh accent, Arvind Swami makes his way back into the limelight as the unforgettable Siddharth Abimanyu in last Friday's release Thani Oruvan.

All three have performed immensely well in their own right and to pick one villain out of this would be highly impossible! What say?
