Dada Saheb Phalke Award announced

Veteran Bollywood actor and heartthrob of many women of the yore, Shashi Kapoor, will be conferred with the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award for 2014. 

 

Belonging to the illustrious Kapoor family of Bollywood, Shashi Kapoor is the son of late Prithviraj Kapoor and the younger brother of Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor. 

 

He debuted as a hero in Dharmaputra and went on to feature in more than one hundred films the prominent ones being Kabhi Kabhi, Kalyug, Junoon, Utsav, New Delhi Times, Deewaar, Trishul and Silsila to name some.

 

Shashi Kapoor is also the proud recipient of Padma Bhushan and three National Film Awards.
