Ghibran has a new role !

 

Ghibran and his dear friend Rathindran have known each other for long and they have already worked together on a short film years before. This time, when Rathindran met Ghibran on a casual visit to his studio, the busy composer came to know about Rathindran's soon to be floated project that'll be produced by Rathindran's wife Bazak Gaziler and her associate Hakan Kantarli based at Turkey.

 

When enquired, Ghibran says, 'More than a friend, I respect Rathindran and his vision. I've known him for years and he is an impeccable story-teller. He is in-fact directing an English film produced by a biggie from England. In the mean time, when I got to know about his 'Swayer Corporations', a 29 minute long short film about a young environmentalist who is on his way to Pudhucherry to kill the CEO of a chemical company, I asked him if I could do the music. Sadly, the script never demanded it. With major portions shot at ECR, I volunteered to be the film's executive producer and be of some help since the producers are from Turkey. Now, I'm very glad that the film has managed to have bagged a prestigious screening at the upcoming Cannes festival'.

 

A happy Rathindran says, 'Ghibran genuinely liked the story and I never expected him to take up the role of an executive producer. With so many commitments and deadlines, he spent four continuous nights with us on the sets and helped us complete the film on time. His timely support has given us all the attention as well. We are a happy team now.'
