When Ilayathalapathy Vijay cried uncontrollably ...

Vijay, who arrived in Coimbatore today, personally met the family of the bereaved Sri. Unnikrishnan from Vadakkancherry, Palakkad district Kerala (the fan who lost his life during the Kaththi release day celebrations).

 

According to a press release, the scene was heart-touching when he met with the family members of Mr.Unnikrishnan. Vijay was moved to tears, expressing the feelings in his heart. Ilayathalapathy was accompanied by the Kerala distributor Mr.Shibu Thameens, PRO Mr. Selvakumar, Mr.Anand - Head of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam and also the Kerala Fans Association members.

 

Vijay also handed over Rs.3 Lakhs to the family. Though he was not in a position to express the kind of support he will be for the family, he firmly assured them to not worry about their future. The fans who came all the way from Trivandrum, Kollam and Palakkad districts contributed in their own ways to the bereaved family.

 

Fan club members of Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Calicut and Malappuram districts are in the process of fund-raising for their beloved member - informed Mr.Shibu Thameens, who also promised to help in his own ways and co-ordinate things for the family.

 

It is to be noted here that Vijay has already sent a condolence letter to the family, fans and media.
