Vikram Prabhu’s next as a lead will be the remake of the much acclaimed Malayalam movie Ustad Hotel that brought to limelight, Dulquer Salman, son of actor Mammootty. The Tamil remake will be produced by Listin and Radhikaa Sarath Kumar, under their banner, Magic Frames.

The team was planning to name the remake, Thalapakatti and to avoid any copyright issues, the makers approached the popular hoteliers (Owners of Thalapakatti Hotel), seeking permission. The owners were happy to lend the title and the makers have now zeroed in on Thalapakatti as the official title.

As the title suggests, the film will have relevance to Thalapakatti Biriyani and its recipes, we hear.
