Vijay Sethupathi talks about his urban look in Mellisai

'I'm not a superstar' - Vijay Sethupathi

Apr 06, 2014

Vijay Sethupathi, in most of his earlier movies, has maintained the unkempt look. However, for Mellisai, he has taken up an urban makeover. When asked about his urban look, the actor said, “I don't have any inhibitions of how I look on screen. I just follow my director's instructions. Had the directors of my previous films asked me to cut my hair or change my looks, I would have changed it. In Mellisai, my director wanted an urban look with a fresh haircut and I obliged. I'm not a superstar to worry about my looks. I'd rather worry about my performance.”

Mellisai is directed by debutante Ranjith Jayakodi, a former associate of Director Ram. Gayathrie is paired up against Vijay Sethupathi. It is to be noted that this movie marks the third outing of the actors after Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Rummy.
