Mad Rush for Veeram & Jilla

As the D-Day of Jan 10^th draws closer, the theatre owners are preparing for a massive influx of audience for both Vijay’s Jilla and Ajith’s Veeram.

In Chennai’s Abirami Mega Mall, Jilla has been awarded the main screen which houses close to a 1000 seats while Veeram will be screened in both Sakthi and Annai Abirami, which when combined equates to approximately 1000 seats too. Quite expectedly the booking at Abirami for both the films, for the first day, has been completely sold out. The theatre owners are also allocating alternate special shows for both the films to accommodate the overwhelming demand.

In Trichy, Vijay Cinemas was the first local theatre to open its booking, online and at the counter, for Veeram today and the theatre manager told Behindwoods that he has never witnessed such a demand for any film. All opening day tickets for the Ajith starrer have been sold out. Vijay Cinemas will be opening the booking for Jilla tomorrow, 4^th Jan, online and the counter.

At this moment, Janatha Theatre in Pallavaram (Chennai) will be screening the first show of Veeram in the city. The show is scheduled at 4 a.m on Jan 10^th and all the seats have been completely filled by the hardcore Ajith fans. Word is still awaited on where the first show for Vijay’s Jilla will be showcased.

It looks like the theatre owners are well prepared to manage the biggest box-office clash in recent memory.
