Vijay confirms a big 'Thala 55' development

The upcoming Ajith - Gautham film, nicknamed Thala 55, will begin its filming on the 9th of April and further announcements about the film's cast, crew and importantly the music director, will be made by the director in the coming days.

Meanwhile at yesterday's Saivam audio launch event, in which Gautham and Anushka were part of the guest list, director Vijay congratulated his Deivathirumagal actress Anushka for bagging the lead role in the Gautham - Ajith film. Though, Anushka's involvement in the film has been reported for quite some time by the media, there has been nothing official about her participation in the film. Now, director Vijay seems to have let the cat out of the bag for the first time on a public stage that Anushka and Ajith are indeed acting together in Thala 55.

Good news for the legions of Thala and Sweety fans out there.
