Khushbu quits DMK

Actress Khushbu has quit from DMK. The actress showed interest in joining politics in 2010 and later joined the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. She has, on many occasion showed her strong support for the party. This decision of hers, to quit from the DMK has come as a surprise.
 

In an official statement, the actress said:
 

“I joined politics with a sole motive to serve the people of Tamil Nadu, who have supported and accepted me as a member of their own family.  From day one, I have given my 100 percentage towards all the duties that the party gave me and all the members will vouch for me. It saddens me to know that all my contributions aren't being reciprocated and given the required credit and recognition. Hence, I have decided to step down as a member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam”
