Following the 'no confidence' motion passed against the Producers Council President S.A. Chandrasekhar, the Madras High Court permitted the voting of the ad-hoc committee at the Extra-ordinary General Body Meeting (EGM).

The poll was in favor of the group led by KR, who had accepted the High Court’s decision. Based on the court’s verdict the newly elected group will need to assume office tomorrow, 8^th February 2013. The group members admit that they are law abiding citizens and that they will respect the court’s decision and take position in their seats tomorrow.

But there seems to be some underlying tension within the council as the group led by S.A. Chandrasekhar have escalated the matter to the Supreme Court and it will be interesting to see how welcoming they are, of the new group taking over the office.
