Lakshmi Rai is fuming over the Sreesanth controversy
May 28, 2013 The internet has been buzzing over the past few days with images showing actress Lakshmi Rai and tainted cricketer Sreesanth together. Lakshmi Rai has now come out in the open and said that these stills were taken several years back when she shot for an ad-commercial along with Sreesanth. She feels that it is a really irresponsible act on the part of the media to release those stills again at a time when there is a raging controversy surrounding Sreesanth.
She appealed to the media to respect the fact that she is a woman and not kick-up a needless storm about her public image.She also said that she was involved in the IPL in the beginning stage in a professional capacity, as she was roped in due to her popularity as an actress. She doesn't have any sort of relationship with cricketers on a personal basis and this ad shoot with Sreesanth was purely on business terms.
