Lakshmi Menon has made a quick mark for herself in Tamil filmdom thanks to successful movies like Sundarapandian and Kumki. She has emerged as a capable actress who is more suited for village belle roles and even her future films like Kuttipuli and Manja Pai would show her in the same light.

When asked, if she would be interested in doing movies with the reigning stars like Vijay, Ajith and Suriya, she says that she isn’t interested in spite of nurturing such thoughts. She reasons that she would be required to be the typical commercial heroine in movies opposite big stars and glamour, some intimacy and suggestive clothes would be a part and parcel of such roles.  

She feels that she isn’t made for such roles and has her own strict limits. All she wishes is to be a good actress even if that means a limited shelf life in the industry.
