As Shanthnoo tries his best to build himself a career in Tamil films, he is also attempting to break away from the chocolate boy image that seems to be enveloping him. The grimy Aayiram Vilakku seems to be his attempt to do that. The movie, being promoted as a gangster story with an angle of love has Sathyaraj playing the major role of a fearsome gangster called Lingam. Suman plays the other important gangster who is constantly warring with Lingam.

When it was announced and the production was on, the movie has had good vibes about it. There were positive talks going around but as the movie’s production was delayed indefinitely, the vibes became cold.

Aayiram Vilakku is directed by S P Hosimin for the banner HMI Pictures. Other than Sathyaraj, Suman and Shanthanoo, the movie also stars Sana Khan, Kamal Kamaraju, Suja, Delhi Ganesh and Muraliraj. Scored by Srikanth Deva, the movie is scheduled to be released on September 23, 2011.

This is Sathyaraj’s film after a while and since he is not playing a male lead, but as that of a gangster, this movie is being expected with certain enthusiasm. If it hits the bull’s eye, Shanthanoo’s career will also be revived.
