We all are aware that a movie in the past with the name Sandiyar directed by and starring Kamal Hassan came under fire for its title as it was said to hurt the sentiments of a particular section of people. The movie eventually became ‘Virumaandi’ and earned cult status. Now a movie titled ‘Sandiyar’ directed by Chozha Devan is gearing up for release.
The director claims that the film is a love story with a difference and will have plenty of action. The movie stars debutant Jagannadh as the hero and a Kerala girl Della Raj as his pair. Interestingly, the music for this film will be scored by Yatish Padmanabhan who is the grandson of the late great comdedian Chandrababu.
